Stop #4 Lake Eufaula

Well I am only 3 days away now from leaving for the 4Th stop on the FLW Tour and the next place we visit is Lake Eufaula. This will be my first time fishing Eufaula and I have to say I am really looking forward to getting there.

This is going to be one event to where you are really not going to know what to expect until you arrive at the lake for the official practice. What I mean by that is, at least for me I have not been able to gain a whole lot of information about this place prior to going there.A Lot of lakes have a large amount of info you Can obtain via the Internet on current lake conditions and what is going on there,Eufaula is not one of them,at least from my stand point anyways. With all this crazy weather and rain going on this year things are changing fast.Eufaula has red clay banks and is known for getting dirty real fast.

Eufaula has a long history of being a great bass fishing lake and some even call it the bass fishing capital of the world but in recent years this lake has been a little down from what I have read but none the less come this Sunday 175 of the top anglers in the world are going to converge on this body of water and I can tell you this, them boys will figure out how to catch them,I just hope I do as well.

I will be back in a week or so for a Lake Eufaula tournament recap and hopefully I can tell you about how much I love this place and cannot wait to get back there.

Fishing For Sponsors - The Real Deal

Posted by admin on January 1, 2011

BoatWrap_wired2fish200.jpgTournament anglers see sponsorship as the Holy Grail, the path to free entry fees and piles of free product. While all of that is possible, the reality is there is more to a sponsorship partnership than exchanging jersey space for cash and products. Sponsorships are like any job; you start out at the bottom and work your way up. Along the way you must prove yourself, work well with others, have good communication and stay professional at all times. However before you can get to that point, you must first develop the relationship, build trust and show your worth. It's go time.

What makes the best "The Best"

Posted by admin on December 23, 2010

tharp200x145.jpgTournament fishing is unlike any other competitive sport in the world. Period. The number of uncontrolled variables in professional fishing far exceeds the variables found in other sports. Therefore when a bass pro consistently performs at a high level against so many dynamic challenges – when they are on their ‘A’ game – it warrants a closer look. As a fan and writer of the sport of professional bass fishing, I’m fascinated with what makes the best pros the best pros. At today’s top levels of tournament competition, pros have access to all of the best equipment money can buy. What intrigues me, however, are the intangibles – the visceral, the things beyond boats, motors, line and lures. This is what separates the best from the best. When you go beyond luck to the core of a champion.

A Bass Fishing Website for Tournament Fishermen

Posted by admin on December 5, 2010

BPS_showcaseHero200x177.pngBass Pro Sites was launched with a specific direction - create websites that bass fishermen could use to attract sponsors and take their fishing to the next level. And it all started on the water. Bass Pro Sites Pro Staffer, Larry Stoafer, recounts how the idea went from the water to reality.

Well after almost 3 years of research, contacting, and negotiating with web design companies, here we are; a professional website to assist me in chasing my dreams of becoming a professional angler. Most are probably asking "What took you so long?"
